Pros: GREAT FOOD.

"After lamenting the lack of good food in Central Point, I finally tried Matteos and was blown away. Excellent pasta, every sauce I've tried has been delicious, an amazing wine list, and all of it VERY affordable. I try to go now at least twice a week. The owners are sweet and I want them to be a success (for selfish reasons). :)"

"I always hear them talk about "al dente" is the way to eat pasta, and this is the first time I've had authentic al dente pasta, around here any way. The sauce was not made days or even hours ahead of time, it was made to order, with fresh herbs."

Matteo's is wonderfull

"me and my husband went for his birthday it was close to closing time for them and they sat us with out any problem at all they were all very kind people. we ordered our food and got it very quickly and never once felt rushed to leave so they could close. when they found out it was my husbands birthday they gave us dessert on the house (that was 2 desserts) and they were also great i ordered the tiramisu not being sure what to expect when i got it because i have never had it before and all i can say is wow i will be going back again and again."

"This is an outstanding restaurant!! I was here from LA for the weekend and had a wonderful time--the food was as good as anywhere in LA and the staff was superior--especially the owner, who was very friendly and attentive with a great sense of humor--I will be there every time I go to Medford!"

"The "second time" was the charm!!! I wasn't going to go back after my first experience in December. The service was ok but I was charged for every little thing - a breadstick, a little extra sauce to complement the untossed, semi-dry spaghetti, iced tea refills, etc. This was the first and only Italian restaurant we have been to that lacked the traditional Italian generosity factor...and bread!! When asked to join some friends there again we accepted, but with strong reservations. This time all four of us were impressed with the great food. They now serve unlimited, homemade, freshly baked bread "hurrah!!" Service was great and timed to perfection and there were no surprises on our bill. Seems like the owners have returned from Italy and brought the spirit with them!! We are pleased we gave Matteo's another chance. I can now say that I highly recommend Matteo's in Central Point to all of my friends. "

Worth the wait

"I took my girlfriend for Matteo's for their Valentine's Day special. The mood was great and the live piano music they had set the restaurant apart from others. We both got the shrimp Alfredo and the food was fantastic. Granted I'm not a real food aficionado I can't break down every little thing about the meal but I *know* what tastes good and Matteo's made my night. The wait to get a table and food took a while, but since it's a new restaurant I feel they just underestimated the immense turnout of people. The owners were out on the floor helping out their staff and you can immediately tell that they are genuine people and care about their customers. I'll definitely be back! "

"I ordered the Mediterranean angel hair pasta and salad and my dinner companions ordered Matteo's Shrimp & Chicken Alfredo and soup. Being our first visit we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but we were all disappointed. The food was not seasoned well, the chicken was bland and the white wine sauce that was supposed to be in the pasta was not even detectable. The bread sticks were warm, but dry. Even the croutons for the salad were not edible (so hard you could break a tooth!) I won't go back unless they get a new chef."
