Louie's is Great

Pros: everything is great

Cons: Nothing..

"I've never been disappointed at Louies. the burgers are great, drinks decent and the atmosphere nice. Nothing better sitting creekside, enjoying a burger and a cold drink.
Those who want fancy.. go to the Peerless, or the Chateulin... otherwise leave community oriented/community friendly places alone.. there's enought that only cater to the tourists.. "

One of our favorite places in Ashland!

Pros: Great staff, good food.

Cons: I would like to see more finger food and more desserts

"My girls and I LOVE this place! The owner and staff are warm and welcoming, and one of my teenage daughters could eat a grilled chicken pepperjack sandwich 5 times a week if I let her."

Good value/friendly staff

Pros: Great value on burger and fries/friendly staff

Cons: Tacos aren't great

"I have been eating weekly at Louie's for three years. The staff has always been friendly and has always provided good service. The patrons have never been rude (I often bring my 12 year old with me without reservation). And, the food is good and reasonably priced. If you're looking for fine dining, go elsewhere. If you're looking for a great deal on a burger and many other items, served by a friendly staff try Louie's."

tanked, oblivious and hungry? go for it!

"hard to mess up fries, and Louis' aren't bad... so. I've tries most of the menu over the years and can say that if y'all want a decent french fry, go for it. all else can be had elsewhere. "

Good value and standard bar fare

Pros: Decent burger and fries deal

Cons: sometimes SOME of the staff is aloof and the bathroom is kinda gross.

"Louie's is a good hometown kind of bar/restaurant. The food is not fancy, but is decent and they have a burger and fries for less than $5 that is a hard to beat deal. The staff is generally friendly and the owner showed a real commitment to the community when she kept the Louie's burger at $3.99 during the darkest part of the recession. As a decade local, I really appreciated that. "

Not Great

Pros: Some good employees

Cons: Average food and most is over-priced. Have had some horrible service in the past.

"Not great food. It is OK and the burger is inexpensive. But - other than that, it is average at best and there are other options in town that in my opinion are better. Service is hit or miss. Server named Anthony was great but have had some horrible service in the past. Louie's, it is time you stepped up and tried a little harder."

Great Improvements!

Pros: Great Service, Tasty Food.

"I've lived in Ashland for five years now, and I've seen Louie's transform into a whole new restaurant recently!
Upon reading reviews here I saw how people disliked the Salmon Sandwich/Burger, so I decided to try it myself. I loved it! They apparently have a brand new product for the salmon, Instead of a Patty of Salmon it's a Filet, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The Salmon was moist and fresh, very yummy! To top it off I had great and friendly service from employees new and old. I can tell that Louie's is changing and they are trying very hard to improve."

Food ok, service lousy, bathrooms horrible

Pros: Fries

Cons: Everything else

"The french fries were good, we had to get someone to wipe the table and had to then ask them to wipe the whole table. Then one hamburger came without cheese, eventually she brought it on a plate. The salmon burgers were good except there was no honey mustard on it and she never brought it as we asked. The drinks were never refilled, even when asked. The bathrooms were so disgusting we had to go somewhere else. It was the middle of a Sunday afternoon, not late in the night!"

Very mediocre

Pros: Good deal on the cheese burger

Cons: Bad deal on every thing else, especially the pizzas

"While they have a great deal on a plain cheese burger, only 3 some thing every thing else is over priced. The staff is friendly but i would only go here if i was just looking for a bite."

Great burgers - Great service - Kid friendly

"I can bring my kid in and get the best burger in Ashland. The staff has always been friendly and I have never had an issue with the other patrons being "sauced" during dinner time."
